Ladies, leave your smugness at the entry. Figures that men really are better than women at getting their automobiles in a spot, if one is to believe a new-fangled research coming from Germany.
A mixture of types of parking were integrated in this relatively unusual exercise which had people aiming to park their respective automobiles in the most excellent possible method within the given parking space.
Female drivers not only did not do as satisfactory a task but in addition required around 15 secs in excess to park the given cars.

I have to get rid of my 1999 Honda Accord (valued at roughly $6K) as our home now requires a larger vehicle (3 grown ups, 1 child and twins on the way).
I should say that the car has treated me rather competently and I have, not at all, felt the lack of power; and the solitary basis that I hope to put it on the market is 'coz I, at this moment, want a bigger vehicle.
Could you suggest any ideas estimated at around the same that are:
a) more roomy
b) similar low emission
c) well-behaved on small drives (as that's what we generally do)
d) good on fuel efficacy

What's vital is that the vehicle should be a product of a fairly reliable manufacturer, and also the spare parts should be effortless to come by and not overly overpriced, etc.
When all's said and done, if you were happy with the car I spoke of however you simply need to change it for a vehicle that is SLIGHTLY larger, then which one would you go for? I like the appearance of the Land Rover. Although I suppose it will be tricky to find one within the given budget. All wheel drives would be useful for us seeing that we live in the Blue Mountains and a few off road tracks are present, although it's not essential for the vehicle to be an SUV.
While I await I imagine I'll just bear on driving a hire auto
Thank you for all ideas.

My father just returned his Toyota 4Runner and is on the lookout to rent something else. He previously expressed that this drive was a bit too rough on his back and also that the power was more than he wanted… Now he's on the lookout for a 4 cylinder or a small 6, and it needs to be SUV in view of the fact that he does mountain biking, etc… and it's the solitary spacious car in the house, I drove his car quite a few times to relocate things all over the place as I drive a Honda Accord and my partner a Scion Xa.

Anyway, the cost; it's unquestionably under US $32k after taxes plus fees.
He liked the Mazda CX7, but it does not have enough bite, the Turbo version has exceptional engine capacity and drives great, but for that much he thinks he could do better.
He got a terrific bargain at turbocharged 4-cylinder engine 200-hp 2.0-liter Volkswagen Passat … but he is concerned with reliability ever since our Audi A6 and VW Cabrio were constantly facing problems. I suggested that through a 24-month contract he shouldn't face any troubles (in contrast to driving the Jeep Wrangler just as he did for about 4 years).
We also though about the recent Kia Sorento, a pretty darn good car, you could smell excellence all over when you sit down inside… Dad also said that he might have purchased the SUV already if it wasn't for the salesperson was such a nincompoop… I think inculing taxes it gets to $32k or so, however he does seem to like the car a lot.
He drove the Toyota Highlander (4 cylinders) and was of the opinion that it felt like crap… I didn't get to inspect that one, however he seems to be sure that his new SUV won't be a Toyota.
If you know of any nice SUVs that he could look into without having to splurge an excessive amount of money, your propositions would be more than welcome.
